Square Watermelon

Forget everything else that Japan has invented, their greatest invention is the square watermelon! A Japanese man created the square watermelons so that they could fit better in his refrigerator. Since then, Japanese Farmers have been forcing their watermelons to grow into a square shape by inserting the melons into square, tempered glass cases while the fruit is still growing on the vine.

These square watermelons sell for 10,000 yen – That’s close to $100 USD!! Oh, and you cant eat the watermelons since they are NOT sweet. It’s more of a fashion food. Yeah, it’s expensive, but who said that art was cheap?
