When Jodie Marbella was having her sweet 16 birthday party, she made the mistake of announcing her party on Facebook. On her facebook page, Jodie wrote that her party was going to be the ‘party of the year. she gave her address and wrote: ‘Theres gone be a lot of alcohol and an amazing DJ.’
The result was 400 guests, most of them gatecrashers showing up at her mother’s million-dollar villa in Marbella, Spain. Jodie’s party finished with ?6,000 of missing jewellery, dozens of items thrown in the swimming pool and half her wardrobe stolen. As the party ran out of control, police were called to search anyone leaving the house for stolen valuables.
One partygoer, who said he had heard about the event from friends, said: ‘Somebody said we were allowed to wreck the house because the birthday girl’s parents were getting divorced.
‘There were kids behaving like gangsters from a rap video, throwing stuff around and smashing things. There were chairs, tables, even a TV in the pool.’
He said that when police arrived ‘people scarpered in all directions, but officers managed to pull people over and search their bags and pockets. But it was already too late and a lot was gone’.
As for Jodie, she wrote this on her Bedo page: ‘There’s so much damage and clothes stolen. A lot of broken doors. people cauight (sic) having sex.’ She also added : ‘I got punched by my mum for it and grounded until the summer. what a a BITCH!’
